I'm currently driving through bama to gatlinburg, what are the best places to eat in either place, my usual gas stops. I have a little boy just shy of 4yrs old, so keep that in mind. Hopefully I'll get some info here, I tried to get some info on brazeiros in knoxville yesterday, and got nada.

Here's a Tuscaloosa thread from 9/11. There was another one recently, but I couldn't find it.

Eat at Archibald's in Tuscaloosa. Best BBQ in the area. Doesn't get the publicity of a Dreamland, bit its the better of the two. Dreamland ain't bad though.

In Gadsden, try the Fish Market or Top of the River. Both are located right along the banks of the Coosa River going through downtown Gadsden. Not the greatest of food, but neither are pricey and the atmosphere is cool. Both of these places were scheduled to move last time I was there and I'm not sure if they have yet.
