That looks awesome!
With that being said, one could replace that hot dog weiner with just about any kind of meat and that meal becomes instantly tastier:
grilled chicken
chick-fil-a spicy chicken
boudin
stuffed crab filling
hamburger patty
italian sausage link
andouille
pork carnitas
flank steak

So the pizza dog title conjured up an ancient memory of eating "pizza on a stick" at the NO Worlds Fair. This was a pepperoni-ish sausage on a stick, filled w/cheese, wrapped in a fried dough casing (more flaky than bready). Haven't seen or heard of one since 1984, but my then kid self thought it was pretty damn delicious.
