Typically don't start these, but not really finding much here right now. Anyone familiar with Pittsburgh that can recommend some restaurants? My first time here.

primanti bros you should do once, but only once
there's a bunch of Italian cafes/grocerys on the strip those are all good
there's also good restaurants north of the strip (lewisburg? Or something like that), a place called cure is really good
There's also an excellent breakfast place in the strip I forget the name.
too bad the bucs aren't home the stadium is incredible

For some reason, everyone up there loves Primanti Bros, but I was severely underwhelmed.
Butcher in the Rye and Meat & Potatoes are two nicer places downtown. I think Butcher in the Rye was my favorite of the two, but Meat & Potatoes is really popular. Advance reservations are needed for prime time.
Wingharts for a solid burger in Market Square.
Beerhead Bar if youre going to a Pirates game and want some decent beer before or after.
Church Brew Works is a cool place, but the beer isn't spectacular.
Grist House was a very solid brewery that I really enjoyed.
Pamela's Diner for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Great hangover food or just breakfast food in general. Pretty popular place so expect a wait.
Strip District is a pretty cool area with some good looking restaurants, food trucks, etc but I can't speak to any other than Pamela's.
