Food processor.
A few cups of washed basil
2 garlic cloves
1 cup or more good parm o
1/2 t salt
Cut on the machine and add a slow, steady stream of EVOO. Use a spatula to press down the sides after 5 seconds, then more oil in a steady stream until you have a smooth , thin paste. Taste for salt.
I like to use 50/50 basil and flat leaf parsley.

Lot of basil, couple cloves garlic, pine nuts (I don't toast them-I like a bit of the bite but you can-or use pistachios or walnuts), Parmesan cheese grated, olive oil, salt and pepper.
Put in food processor or small chopper all except oil. Blend then drizzle olive oil in until it has the consistency you like. Freezes well in ice cube trays.
Baked potato, piece of fish, pasta, grilled lamb are just a bit of what I use it on.

I forgot nuts...when I add them, I usually just add a 1/4 cup of walnuts. Never have pine nuts.

I much prefer pine nuts. Try them.
