I just recently had a friend of mine pick up a couple bottles of PB2 for me (the regular and chocolate). The plan is to add it to my green smoothies. I haven't tried it in the smoothie yet, but I whipped some up earlier and dipped some apples and bananas in the mix and I thought it was delicious. Anyone else ever have this stuff? Am I late to the party?

PB2 has the same consistency as full fat peanut butter with all of the natural roasted peanut flavor, but with nearly 85% less fat calories. PB2 is made with high quality peanuts that are slow-roasted to our specifications and pressed to remove the oil. All natural with no artificial flavors or sweeteners, and no preservatives.

I made a peanut butter chocolate stout with it. Worked well for that.

Now that's a lot of PB... I got mine for like $8 for a average size container. I didn't think it was too expensive.

That sounds awesome! Wouldn't have even thought of that.

How much PB2 did you end up using?

I'm brewing an imperial peanut butter chocolate stout in a few weeks and still debating on when and how much PB2/PB2 chocolate to add.

That's nuts. If worried about the fat content eat less PB.

I used 2 jars of the regular (6.5oz each) and half a jar of the chocolate. Also used about 8 oz total of cocoa.

Brewing it again in about 2 weeks for Zapp's.

Thanks! I've read everything from 12oz to 4 lbs... So I was just planning on winging it.

I'll have mine at Zapp's too. If you get a chance stop by the RedStick tent and let me know how I did.

Calandro's is the only place in town that sells it. It's just under $4 a jar from what I remember.

I'll be at the Brasseur's tent serving mine.

Sounds like a taste test is in order.

I've heard Calandro's on Government has it. I know Rival Nutrition (that might not be the right name...) in Denham Springs has it as well.

It's easy to make your own pb powder. Tapioca maltodextrin is your friend

Not worried about the fat content at all. I like the idea of it and I have a hard time finding PB that I like (that I can eat as much as I want - once again, nothing to do with fat). Plus you can change up the consistency as you please. I usually like to make my own cashew/pecan/almond butter, this was mainly purchased for smoothies.
