Camp street isn't frequented by tourists, either. Dude do you NOLA?

Sac-a-Lait - I thought it was excellent when I went. Never hear about it because their menu was ridiculously expensive when they opened. They pivoted in terms of how their menu is arranged.

Meh, surprised it's still open, tbh. It's average, overpriced and was empty last time I went. I actually think it caters to tourist.

I'll throw Boucherie out there

Oak Oven if you're talking outside Orleans Parish

Good call. The drinks there are top notch. And they've got damn good tiki bar type food.

Red Gravy is located less than a block from Canal. To say this area isn't frequented by tourists discredits anything you have said. Maybe you should leave Baton Rouge a little more often before you start recommending tourist traps to people inquiring about overlooked restaurants.

If a room full of people speaking Italian while dining at an Italian restaurant is your idea of "touristy" I'll take the tourist trap.

You should get your head out of your arse once in a while, you might find some better places to eat. "Voted best brunch by whom?"

Bon Ton Cafe is two blocks away, is it also a tourist trap?

Most tourist traps are open in the evenings, if they are catering to tourist. Just doesn't fit the bill.

I'm almost certain you've mixed this restaurant up with another one. Unless the only other Italian cuisine you've eaten is Olive Garden (which wouldn't surprise me) there's no way you can tell me that this isn't over priced Italian that caters to tourists.

I will say that thes publication voting listings are almost 99% shite.

I've spent over a decade in the service industry in the city in some capacity and have seen how the voting goes and some of the places that were voted 'best of' and yeah, 99% a joke

Neither your snobbery nor your restaurant banter are impressive. Bitter.. Boring and tired.. it's obvious that Red Gravy is way over your head. You wouldn't be able to pronounce or appreciate any of the dishes prepared there.

I spent most of my time Uptown when I lived there and it's been a few years, so I'm not sure my list is current.

Dante's Kitchen
Cote Sud
Il Posto
Mint has underrated pho
Sarita's Grill
Thai Mint's massaman curry is the tits. Lackluster everything else.
Aline Street Beer Garden's sidewalk is a great happy hour spot.
Mondo doesn't get as much love as it should. Used to love lunch there.
