Anyone have any recommendations for Williamette Valley wineries?

Taking wife there next weekend for her 40th and will probably be going Saturday to some of the wineries.

There's so many. We went to two; I'm trying to remember their names. Go to the pages for Willamette Valley Wineries and search their events. You can see which ones have things going on like live music, or special pairings/tastings. I think there are several different trails, too, and some of them are bike tours/trails if you're into that sort of thing.

I think you can do four in one day and enjoy yourself. Hire a driver, have them drive you around and teach you about the area. Some of these places are really off the beaten path.

We used these guys one day.

Found the ones we went to. We just kind of googled them on the fly as we drove back towards Portland from the coast. It worked out really well, as they couldn't have been more different, but both enjoyable:

Potter's Vineyard. New, very small, family owned. We were there at the end of the day, but we stayed for a while and talked with the owners. Open-air tasting "room" with a very rustic feel, which was great since the weather was perfect. Potter's

The other was Ponzi. Definitely more refined than Potter's. Very nice tasting room with a balcony, nice menu, and great views. Nicely manicured lawn with a bocce ball area right next to the vineyard. Actually wasn't crazy about the wine. It was ok, but still had a nice afternoon.

Thanks! Yeah was going to give her the option of how many she wanted to visit, and then possibly make a run out to the coast and then back to portland that night.

I can't help you with the wineries. Breweries, on the other hand...

You're actually a week late - the weather this weekend was absolutely perfect. It won't be too bad next weekend, although the forecast shows that there is a chance of showers. That means you'll probably have some nice weather with some bands of drizzle coming through. The views at the coast are really cool even in the bad weather. The clouds moving through the coastal mountain range are very cool, in an eery kinda way...

My wife and I went to Portland and the Willamette Valley back in the fall; one of the vineyards I remember we liked was WillaKenzie. I'll ask her the other ones we liked.

Urinetrouble may be able to further assist you. He visited Portland this weekend and may have further suggestions, or help you narrow things down a bit...

Is Archery Summon in Willamette? If so, you should give them a go.

Moises winery. It's owned by a local ER doctor named James Moises. He sells all of his wine to Louisiana. He is super down to earth guy and even delivers the wine to the restaurants he sells it to. In addition it's an amazing wine and located right where you are looking for. Cheers!

Check out the wineries in the Dundee Hills area. I had a blast visiting quite a few of them. Archery Summit was our favorite.

You know Vancouver well? I have 36 hours to eat my way through the city before getting on a cruise to Alaska.

Edit: Sorry for the hijack.
