The waiter offered to seal it with wax but I was still skeptical and passed.

I've been a few times. It's a good spot on Saturdays after hitting up the Mandeville Trailhead Market.

As mentioned previously, the food and beer are both good, none are really great. The menu items seem to often read better than they taste. One huge negative, is their po-boys. The bread/seafood ratio is way off in a bad way.

Overall, the apps are good with the exception of the hummus. Had the hummus once and was inedible for everyone at our table. Service is typically very average.

I like going here, because I like beer and supporting local businesses, however, the place is missing some sort of brew pub element that I cannot seem to put my finger on.

Not sure if they ever offer live music, but that may be something they need to liven the place up.

It really is a nice place, although I will they have really small TV's around the bar area

Anytime I need to go to Hammond I will take the extra 20 minute drive and go to Old Rail because the food and the beer.

It's not speeding, it is driving with a purpose

Cow Catcher is my go to beer, and the Rusty Rail. Some of their seasonal beers are pretty good, as well. For the food, I levitate towards the wings as they're always spot on. The buffalo mac and cheese is also good. I'm not a fan of their burgers as it's a pork/ beef mixture which leads to a burger more well done then I prefer. The fries are duck fat fried, so they hit the spot when you've had a couple flights. Overall, a nice place to hang out, but it can be loud if earl in the evening since it's a family rest. The reason for this is because they are mandated to sell a certain proportion of food to alcohol, so the food is moderately priced, as well as the beers.
