You did some damage.

The muff at Cochon is my least favorite of the sandwiches I've had. I didn't find the olive salad prevalent it's chopped up pretty fine. Not even close to the greatness of the one at R&O's.

Sucks about Coquette and the $70 oysters.

I'm looking forward to trying Cane and Table and Mariza one day. Looks great.

Had that exact fried chicken dish on Tuesday night of last week. It was tremendous and almost ordered a second one for dessert. My sauce was not "Straight outta Sysco" but maybe they changed it in the four days intervening.

Seriously, his fried chicken is incredible.

I like the Central muff better. That olive salad from Central is just great stuff.

A friend asked me to pick up some olive salad to ship to them. After several Beams at Lafittes, I walked to CG to get some. I then headed to Saks to do a little shopping. My drunk arse dropped the jar in the middle of the store. Olive salad was leaking everywhere. I made it outside to Canal by Morton's and threw the jar away. The only thing I could wipe my greasy hands on were the shrubs out front. Security came outside and just shook their heads.

A second order will get you locked up.... or at least a trip to the cardiologist.

I've had it, and it's excellent. Actually hit their fried chicken and champagne dinner a few years ago. They can go toe to toe with anyone in town.

Just wish he would open a fried chicken joint. It would do for that genre what Company Burger did for burgers

It's not bad, but the meat is definitely featured more than on most muffs around town. The olive salad is more of an accent. It's good, but there's at least 3 better sandwiches on that menu.

Get the Gambino and you can't go wrong.

The Whole fish at Peche is delicious. If she's only allergic to shellfish, she could get a fish dish.

Yeah right. You gotta order 3 entrees at reef not to walk out hungry as a hostage.

We went to Cane and Table Wednesday night, couple of apps and some drinks, pleased with all we had. grilled pineapple salad was outstanding.
Then stopped at Kingfish and St Lawrence on the way back to the hotel.
Thursday Cochon Butcher for lunch and Tommys Bistro for dinner.
Friday was Bevi Seafood for lunch, crawfish were meh. Friday night at Redds for their crawfish boil, they were great.
Saturday nothing at the fest due to the lines, drinks and dinner at Brisbi's. Drinks were good, food ok.
Lunch at Rum House on Sunday, all the tacos and drinks were great.
Sunday dinner at Domenica, fried kale and the roasted cauliflower were excellent.
Lunch at the airport outpost of Ye Olde College in was good as well, buffalo oysters.

That redfish with fried mac at Reef is a big portion, but I agree, a lot of Caswell's dishes at Reef are on the small side. Great restaurant though, one of my favorite in Houston.

Lunch at Reef is a steal.

Well? I've had CG, Napleon House, Butcher and blonde, red and brunette. I prefer Cochon Butcher's muff above all

I'm not a fan of CG. I don't find those as good as they once were. Have you had R&O's?
