I was watching Steven Raichlin's show last night when he used the Nordic Ware stovetop smoker to smoke some pecans.

There really wasn't much smoke that came out once he was done with the smoking.
I have a Cameron indoor smoker and it works fine for certain things. Not much smoke or smell, surprisingly. I've had it for years. I've smoked fish and vegetables on it. It's flat so it's not made to smoke a whole chicken and I never tried ribs or anything else on it. Mushrooms are terrific on it. So easy and very little mess. It's easy to clean.
I like the look of this Nordic Ware smoker better. The shape makes it more versatile. Can be used inside or outside on a burner or grill.
Anyone have one?

how do you not fill your house with smoke?

It really doesn't smoke much because it's closed. At least, that's the case with the Cameron smoker. I have a really strong exhaust since I have a gas grill in my stove top if it ever smokes much. You only use 1-2 T of smoke dust in theses smokers. If you watch the video on Amazon, you'll see that there's not a lot of smoke that comes out of it. Plenty to smoke what you'd put in a stove top smoker. My Cameron works well.
This is the Cameron.

You don't really need much smoke to smoke as well. Pellet smokers are great for producing that thin blue smoke desired in smoking. If you are billowing thick white smoke that doesn't produce the best taste.

I've not had much smoke seep out of the Cameron when I've used it, but the flavor is delicious.
