I went a few times. Good ramen, never tried the pies. Kind of a weird concept and I'm a little surprised it lasted this long. Parking at State & Mag is always going to be an issue.

I suspect we will see many more closings before/during the summer in NOLA.

Kin has better ramen but I did like their small plates and fried chicken. I hope something good goes into that spot. A craft beer spot is desperately needed in that area.

Agreed. I've only tried Noodle & Pie's ramen, and felt like Kin was much better.

Shame. I liked that place. Little Tokyo has a nice bowl of ramen as well...

I liked the place, but I rarely went there. It was only open for lunch on the days when I'm not uptown for lunch, and it wasn't fantastic enough to make me want to go back uptown for dinner. Plus, the pies were always underwhelming....if you're gonna put an item into your name, it better be fan-damn-tactic. Several of the ramen variations were better than good, but the pies were always meh.

Agree that Kin is hitting all the right ramen notes. Supposedly, the Kin folks (har-har) were looking for another location to open as a ramen-only shop. Hven't heard an update on any new location for them.

Aww man, only ate there once (live in Shreveport) but really liked it. The ramen was solid and the blueberry pie was pretty good but the main thing was their cheese fries with the nori and the bonito flakes. Definitely a novelty but it was awesome.

Didn't they get the whole store robbed ala Dat Dog not long ago? Sucks man. Hate to see a unique place fail.

Decent bowls at noodle and pie. It was nice taking the kids there after the zoo.

Kin is much better even though it's out the way.

Little Tokyo's ramen blows goat balls.

Always love to hear about a new ramen shop, but ugh, the parking in that area is already a PITA unless you live within walking distance. I keep waiting for some of the Oak St trendy buzz to spill over into Old Jefferson, where the words "parking lot" don't make neighbors lose their damn minds.

Their fish and finger pie was excellent. Tasted like bad pennies.
