Looks interesting. I'm not a fan of sours, but I might check it out.

How the frick does a brewery release something like that?

At a 5th anniversary party, nonetheless. That's how I got my bottle. The BR bottles are "aging" at the distributor to see if the smell goes away after a while.

never heard of something like this.

"where can i get my 5th anniversary sour?" "Well, the nose still has hints of vomity a-hole, so we're going to let them sit for a bit."

im intrigued about this venture for them. By nd large sours tend to end up being the slowest selling and most expensive.

They put in the time and money to do it right. Like BigErn said they were well received at Huna day. I would guess after New Orleans the Florida markets would be the 2nd best selling markets for these beers. Hopefully that means good trade bait for us guys down here.

Probably shouldn't put a timeline on a sour beer.

Gotta hype and flaunt

The smell wasn't strong to me and the taste was on point but i def gave it a half star (maybe full star) bump.

that's good to know, if it's only a faint smell i'll give it a go. but curious, did you get more dirty rotten cheese gym sock, a-hole, vomit or garbage on the nose? want some tasting notes to compare to.

Haven't had Sauvage and Piety, but Arabella and Lowerline get big thumbs up from me.

I tried a NOLA Brewing sour out at T-Bois this weekend and can say that, although it did not smell like a sack of buttholes, it is definitely an acquired taste.

I've had them all. All of the ones pictured in the OP's picture are good. Looking forward to getting them in bottles.

Had Arabella at Huna Day. Was solid for a Lacto sour. Nothing I'd go out of my way for but nicely done.
