Never been. I haven't talked to anybody who has either. I understand its mostly canned food which is prevalent in Europe. Is it worth going to over Red's Chinese or Feelings if traveling over there for dinner?

i view it as more of a wine and cocktail place. If you want a meal, definitely go to Reds instead.

We had a great meal there the night after the U2 concert. I'd put it up there with Peche.
Great atmosphere. You feel like you're in some French country village. (They were playing a French version of "Somebody to Love" when we were seated, our table was underneath a French poster for A Clockwork Orange.)
We started off with the escargot. It was solid, but the weakest item we had. Kinda like how Christian Laettner was a great college player who had a long NBA career, but he was the weakest player on the 92 Dream Team.
We had the habanero smoked oysters, which were served with this nice bread and compound butter. I loved them, that was really in my wheelhouse - salty, spicy and smoky. That was the only canned item we got.
The mussels were GREAT. We actually drank the broth. That was probably the best item we ate.
The steak frites were really good. We finished with the steak au poivre, which was excellent. That was my wife's favorite dish.
We drank wine the whole time, it ended up being about $130 before the tip. That's roughly the same we spent at Peche when we went there a couple of years ago.
I've never been to Red's Chinese, but I've wanted to go for a while. I suggested it for lunch the day of the U2 show, but my wife wanted to try Pizza Delicious instead.

Didn't realize Café Sbiza reopened. They had a fun Sunday jazz brunch prior to Katrina.

I’m not a big Eater fan and do don’t read the entire list, but I suggest the newly reopened Gabrielle. Tops on my list for my next trip.

offshoreanglerNola Must Try List? by offshoreanglerReplace Domilise's with R&O's. I may be from Texas, but I know God damned good and well that ketchup has no business near a shrimp sammich.

I have always got no mayo with ketchup and hot sauce added to my shrimp po'boys. Never did understand the big deal about getting ketchup??

Googled N7 on maps and found this interesting character on street view. Man, the things Google picks up randomly.
