stuck in a rut. last couple trips its been same song and dance.

Dinner Herbsaint
Lunch Peche
Dinner August
Lunch Le Petite Grocery
Dinner La Boca

Outta do an Arse Fatty Rewind, in honor of his lent issue.

Really considering changing my routine. Atleast this time i removed Butcher and replaced with Le Petite.

hmm. Maybe a FDB decision for another day.

Damn strong itinerary.

If you're looking to freshen anything up, you could bump LPG and La Boca for Coquette, Mariza, Meauxbar, or Doris Metropolis.

This will be a hell of a trip either way!!!

After my last dinner at Herbsaint, that's a rut I could roll around in for quite a while.

I like the recommendations that Rohan made - would add to it The Franklin.

Lunch Boucherie

I haven't been to the new spot yet(it's open), but I'm not sure I like the idea. Also, in spite of it's popularity on this board, it's more about value than great food.

Yeah guess I let my pocketbook creep into my conscious there. Tha frick was I thinking?!

What did you think of the newly re-done Meauxbar? I threw it out there because it really flies under the radar. Kind of like Rue 127. But that place is shite so under the radar does not always = good. Good also check out Marcello's.

Haven't been yet, but their Instagram kicks arse.

As far as for places that used to be mentioned all the time and aren't anymore, i definitely agree with patois... and NOLA

Check out Balise? I haven't heard much about it yet. Going in a few weeks.

I'm not saying it's not a consideration, but not when you're on a run like Boss man is planning.

The whole experience was excellent, with top notch atmosphere and very good food. Maybe a tier below Coquette and Herb, but one of my French Quarter favorites.

Someone below mentioned Balise. A friend went last weekend and didn't care for it. I'll wait to pass judgement, but I wanted to share what I heard.

ps. 2 of the 5 places you initially listed were just stolen from my initial post. Feel free to come up with your own recommendations or stick to the ATL threads!

I was thinking the same thing.

I haven't been to any of those places, but it sounds terrible.

Perhaps the F&D Board could take up a collection for some gift cards to Popeyes and Red Lobster for the poor fellow.

That's disappointing. Menu looked promising.

There are TONS of new places.

Shaya should be on your list.

Throw in some Bywater places like Bacchanal, The Franklin, Mariza, Pizza Delicious, Arabella Casa di Pasta.

Add Root, Coquette, or maybe even Revolution to your mix.

Have some small plates and cocktails at Bouligny Tavern or Treo.

The possibilities are really many and varied.
