What place in NOLA Mid City or Lakeview/Lakefront has free WIFI and a good beer selection on tap, where I can do some work on my laptop undisturbed and not smell like smoke? Basically, a coffee house atmosphere but where I can drink beer.

I don't consider a bar a good place to do work bro.

I'm pretty sure the Bulldog on Canal would work for this plan

yep.

I was gonna suggest Twelve Mile Limit but it's small and dark and allows smoking.

agreed notiger Bulldog Mid-City may be this cat's best shot.

I think the Bulldog has free wifi. I'm pretty sure the Magazine St. one has it. You may want to call in advance.

Another options would be to check with Mondo, you could grab a bite too. I'm not sure if they have wifi but you may be able to get Starbucks wifi from there.

Bulldog on Canal is a good suggestion thanks. Patio should be nice. And I know a bar is an awful place to work, but sometimes I need to get the hell out of the office.

i usually work one afternoon a week at a bar. nice change of scenery to knock out a little work on my laptop while enjoying a couple of beers. if i can do my work from anywhere, as long as i have a laptop and wifi, i say why not? surely better than being in the office.

To be fair, either of those is like a mile from the boundary of what I'd consider "mid city."

It's not like he's naming places in Boutte.

Well if that's the case I recommend Buddha Belly. Might as well knock out some laundry too.
