I'm headed to NO this weekend to watch a good friend play ball at Zephyr field. First game isn't until Saturday night. Going to visit WWII museum early Fri afternoon so looking for casual place for food/drinks in that area plus breakfast on Saturday and/or Sunday morning. Also place for some good food in area of stadium late Saturday night. Will be staying out in Metairie. I'm more of a hole in the wall bar person, doesn't have to be fancy. Usually when I travel I try to find where the locals go to eat and drink or a place with some live music. Also one of the meals needs to be great shrimp and grits for my buddy's wife. Thanks

The stadium is in a shitty area of Metairie. There's nothing over there really. The closest stuff would be in Elmwood but that's mostly chains.

Bevi isn't far but not open late.

You really aren't going to want to eat near the stadium or in Metairie in general to be honest.

Would also second the Butcher rec as the obvious choice near the museum.

Thanks for the heads up, hopefully I can catch an Uber out of the area after the game
