I was looking through the most recent 008 magazine and saw an ad NYB is opening here this spring. Hope it's true, I loved that place in college....Brooklyn Bomber

Uh oh, that makes the number of places to eat in Lafayette @ 3,274, of which 23 closed just last week.

Both of those numbers seem a little low

Touche'... I suggest you hurry the hell on over to NY Bagel as I foresee an early April closing

I sure hope not. Maybe it'll weed out some of these lesser eateries, or at least a few of the 20,000 Subways in the area

Where is it going? I enjoyed New York Bagel in college as well.

The ad said in the Caffery Center. I'm pretty sure that's the shopping center that's getting a facelift right now

Yeah it's opening in the shopping center across Ambassador Caffery from the Costco development. My friend is doing some of the renovations for that shopping center.

I used to like these bagel joints and their cool bagel sandwiches..... back when carbs didn't matter to me. Now, not so much, but I do hope they make it.

This shopping center has been mostly dead for a very long time. Hopefully the big renovation going on there right now can turn it around, especially since it's so close to all the newest development. Not happy that a Dollar Tree is going in the spot that used to be Rite Aide,

I hope they make it too. I think after the renovation that shopping center will do pretty well, given it's location. Not happy about the dollar tree either but hopefully they can pull a decent anchor for the center and it does well.

I'm still not happy about the demise of 2paul's...RIP
