In New Orleans for the weekend, looking to go to a good restaurant tonight. Would like a steakhouse, but would be open to something else. Probably to late to make a reservation.

TIA

Wife and I really enjoyed our last meal at Chophouse. Had a filet and a NY strip, both were delicious. Get the cheesecake for dessert.

Yes. Went there for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Place is money. One of the best restaurant steaks I've ever had.

I would say someone looking for a traditional steak (Bone In Ribeye or Filet), would be best served at Mr Johns. If they are willing to do a hanger, cap, or skirt.... La Boca is awesome... Their apps, sides, and environment is top notch.

I, personally, love them both

Given La Boca has cuts u cant get everywhere - I recommend a skirt w skin, provoletta & sweetbreads... w a nice Arg red vino at La Boca

Mr. Johns and La Boca both look awesome. Not sure if I could get a reservation to either though

Ruth's downtown by the casino is the best Ruth's that I have been to. It's also the best steaks in the city IMHO ...

People hate on Ruth's but I've had 3 really good meals at that location. Steak was a good cut and cooked right. I'd go La Boca or Doris but that Ruth's won't disappoint you

Mr. Johns is great too but you got no shot tonight

I agree .. It's by far better than the other Ruths I have been.

Mr. John's is solid but not what it was five or so years ago IMHO
