High Hat is really good. Love the food and the feel of the place. Service both times was top notch also

Love High Hat and Capdeville is really solid. Thought Baie Rouge was meh.

Saucy's might be the worst BBQ in the city.

That was a head scratcher for me too. The Joint is by far the best in the city, which isn't saying much.

I ate Saucy's once. It was good. Not breathtaking. But I'll always root for them to be successful. Owners are super nice and respectful.

High Hat
Mas Arepas
Aldolfo's

are the only ones I been to and I liked them all. Aldolfo's was really good, and high hat has one of the best burgers.

+1

Baie Rouge I thought was meh and from all accounts from my friends Saucy's is fricking garbage. High Hat is great but not sure if I would call it "underrated."

on the higher end: Iris doesn't get enough love

Haven't been in awhile. I liked it more in its old location. On the other hand, it made room for Boucherie. So there you go.

It's literally a 5 minute walk or less from my house to Baie Rouge. I walk past it frequently, but it just doesn't interest me. Not sure why. The menu has no identity . . . or something.

Yeah I went to Baie Rouge expecting to be wowed by their brie fries and they were one of the most bland things I've had since a Mahoney's poboy.

also I'll add to the list: Tartine. great lunch specials

also... La Macarena

Oh hell yeah. I haven't been in a long time, but I've been thinking about it. Need to go real soon.

BTW, if one happened to be a quasi-alcoholic (at least in the sense that he really, really wants a drink with his meal), I would assume that person could bring in booze. I've never asked or tried at La Macarena.

Cool.

They certainly seemed like nice reasonable people.

By walk you mean stumble home from Brothers 3.

I saw BR had a new menu. I've tried to like Saucy's but every restaurant on that corner sucks. Can't wait for the smokehouse to open.

This list is complete BS without Kim Ahn's on it.

Dude, you know I rarely cross Napoleon in that direction and certainly don't make it past the $5 pint and slice.

That looks great. I think they have the best breakfast dish in town as well. The eggs poached in cream inside a brioche bowl is so great. They also have the best scones I have ever eaten.
