A high school friend of mine is in town. We are heading down for the day. Need some good recs for local food and drink. Casual, small plates, hole in the wall, non tourist etc.

Quarter, magazine, warehouse district, whatever

I would start the day off with Happy Hour at Erin Rose 10 am.

Make my way to PECHE!!! for lunch

Head over to Ave Pub for beers after that.

Hit up the tour at NOLA Brewery, I think they have crawfish right now.

Then walk up to magazine st. and have a drink with VOR at Rendezvous.

Walk up Magazine and grab some oysters at Casementos

Then watch the parades

That's a damned good itinerary.

And if he does come by the RDV, I'll be holding court in the afternoon as always. He can tell Doug how much fun he had at NOLA Brewery.
