Need sauce for ribeyes

Having some friends come over tonight and gonna probably grill some ribeyes. Was thinking of making some kind of sauce to go with them (blue cheese/onion, etc). Anyone have any good ones they have made?

Go with some horsey sauce. It is great with the prime, same cut.

Well seasoned steaks don't need much help. I occasionally make a board sauce for my steaks. Here's a good one.

Take some butter or oil and melt it in a pan, add in two ounces of your favorite whiskey, allow it to catch on fire ( or just get realy hot and stir it. Throw in a handfull of Bleu cheese and 1-2 oz of whipping cream, reduce heat and let it thicken. (basic black and bleu sauce)

Seriously though, why do you need a sauce for ribeyes unless you bought shitty ones and you're trying to hide that?

If you want something different and very good, Google Bobby Flay's jerk recipe for ribeyes

I tend to agree, which is why I like the board sauce. The herbs enhance the flavor of the steak, but don't overpower or cover it up.

You could make some garlic butter and brush that on right after you take them off the heat. Assuming you let them rest before eating.

You know sometimes in life a change of pace is good. Trust me these are not cheap steaks, the sauce will just be on the side if someone wants it. I think I'm leaning toward a blue cheese sauce.

Whatever floats your boat homie. Enjoy ruining your "not cheap" steaks

What difference does it make to you?

It doesn't. That's why I said whatever floats your boat

Every once in awhile, I like to make a sauce to put on my steak. I've made this one in the past and people loved it. I'm not sure how many people you are having over, but you can easily halve the recipe and it will still be enough for four steaks.

Sometimes I like a little brown butter with fried parsley in it. Sometimes, I like a blue cheese butter. I melt the blue cheese (or gorgonzola). I whisk butter in, add some finely chopped green onions or chives (because I love them in almost everything) and a little cayenne. I put a little dollop atop the steak.
I love blue cheese with meat, but it doesn't take much.

This sounds excellent for a burger.
