GF and I are taking a little trip to San Antonio Thursday - Sunday, and I need some recommendations on where to eat.

We will be staying in a hotel on the River Walk, but I will have my vehicle. Would prefer somewhere within walking distance.

Looking for places that serve good food. Not really looking to do any fine dining, as we will be out and about all day and will be keeping it mostly casual.

I have a few places in mind already:
Boudro's
Guenther House (breakfast)
Dough Pizzeria
Schilo's

Looking mostly for a good breakfast, lunch, and dinner spot for Saturday. The above restaurants will be dined at Thursday and Friday.

Also, any good recs for a spot for lunch on the way? Driving from Baton Rouge so will hit Houston around the 4 hour mark and will be hungry.

Thank you!

I've passed through San Antonio twice in the last two years. Since I was only passing through my experience is limited. That said, here are my suggestions:

MiTierra for breakfast or late night.
Ocho for dinner.

Luke fits the bill. Dinner might be a little more expensive than what you are looking for, but lunch would work out well.

You listed every one of the places I would have recommended.

Original Ninfa's on Navigation in Houston is awesome!

Rosario's is horrible. I have no idea how it's rated as highly as it is.

Guenther House for breakfast is a must. Haven't been but I hear Magnolia pancake Haus is good.

La Fonda on Main for dinner. Get a reservation. Mi Tierra is still good mexican food and you can check out the market while you're there.

Little Rhein Steak House

Make reservation and request outside table if the weather forecast
looks good. This place is not cheap but the steaks, desserts and view are excellent.
