That's a $400-$500 offset combo. His budget is $600. Good luck finding a BGE and mount in that range.

That has nothing to do with your shitty arse opinions.

And that folks is what is called "moving the goal posts." The next step before all credibility is lost is being a grammar nazi.

Not sure what fantasy land you are living in where green eggs are better smokers than cheap offsets.

The same world where you think BGEs can only produce overcooked burnt meat with no smoke.

I am with Burt on this one. Someone that knows how to properly work both, will do much better on some of the cheap offsets than a ceramic.

I won't say ceramics are shitty though, just average smokers. They are very versatile, which is nice if you just want one grill/smoker. They are also pretty durable as opposed to cheap offsets. They got a big following for a reason.

Hopefuly the OP doesn't listen to the guy who doesn't use a water pan and wants him to spend $500 extra on a mediocre smoker

So you're clueless about how the setup I use works, but you're in here acting like a know it all?

You agree with the guy that said BGE can't properly smoke things?

Which is exactly what the OP was looking for.

Why buy an inferior smoker that costs $500 more?

You keep saying that, but you haven't really shown why.

Your only argument is that you're apparently too shitty of a cook to smoke something on a BGE.

1. It is not an inferior smoker. Is the best in the world, no. Go buy a $12,000 jambo or some shite and get a better smoker.

2. The OP wants a good combo. Ceramic is a very good smoker and a very good grill all in one.

Because offsets are better smokers than green eggs son. That's a fact.

I don't own a green egg nor would I waste a brisket on one.

No smoker/grill combo is going to be the best at either. You're mucking up the thread to go on a BGE bashing brigade.

I don't own one either, but I'm also not a retard that is hell bent on showing off my ignorance this morning.
