Anyone have a good steak marinade recipe? Cooking steaks tomorrow and looking to marinate over night.

Have you tried the reverse sear method ? It's the cool thing to do around these parts.

1. Buy decent steaks. Choice is a minimum. (Translation: Do not buy steaks at Walmart)
2. Apply a SMALL amount of worcestershire (not a lot) then add cracked or coarse ground black pepper and kosher salt.
3. Let sit for about 30 minutes.

my first thought, obviously, is dont marinade.
buuuuut, if you must, get a little dale's steak marinade, dilute it with water, add some olive oil, garlic, and a dab of dijon mustard.

Only if the steaks are not tender, and need a marinade...Italian dressing is a horrible marinade for meat IMO.
Soy Sauce---a good amount
Brown Sugar..small amount
Worcestershire..small amount
Olive oil---small amount

ingredients
1/2 cup dry red wine
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary or two teaspoons dried
2 large garlic cloves, chopped
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1 1 1/2-pound top sirloin steak (about 1 inch thick)
preparation
Mix first 6 ingredients in 13x9x2-inch glass baking dish. Add steak and turn to coat. Marinate 1 hour at room temperature or refrigerate up to 6 hours, turning steak occasionally.
Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat) or preheat broiler. Drain marinade into small saucepan; simmer sauce while grilling steak and add a tablespoon of butter if desired. Reserve to pass as sauce. Grill or broil steak to desired doneness, about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare.
Transfer steak to platter. Thinly slice across grain. Serve with marinade.

If you can find Daddy Hinkle's meat marinade at a store near you, then it's actually very good. It comes with a liquid marinade and a dry seasoning.
You slightly wet the meat (not soak) and then dust with the seasoning. Only takes 15-30 minutes and it is legit.

Yea, I'd go with Stubb's if I was going to do anything.
But, I wouldn't do a marinade.

I'm in the don't marinate camp, but I like the Hawaiian style pineapple, soy, ginger combo if I'm looking for a change.
