Looking for a good casual oyster bar for Friday night Uptown/ Garden district area. Will just be having a few dozen on the half shell, so wont have to have a great chef, just fresh oysters.. and hopefully easy parking.

Does this Superior seafood usually have fresh oysters and decent service ?

But I'd go further into town for the bar at Peche.

Superior seafood has great oysters. The rest of the food is average.

The oyster bar at Pascal Manales is, I think, underrated. I dont care for the rest of the place, but it's useful for hitting happy hour that includes half-priced raw oysters.

Basin Seafood on Magazine if the weather is nice and you want to sit on the sidewalk.

Their quality and selection are excellent. If I was looking just to gorge on oysters (3+ dozen), I might search out a special somewhere.

Superior Seafood, Cooter Brown's.

Superior Seafood also has some solid crawfish, but I haven't tried anything else.

Pascal's Manale does have a bar as you describe. There's a happy hour on Fridays from 3 to 6 with half off raw oysters and drink/beer specials. That may be earlier than you plan to be there, but the bar fits your desires. The oysters rock there are quite good or they were several years ago. Avoid the BBQ shrimp, though.

OP-you an old baw?

If not, avoid the recs for PM. Go to a nice casual joint and slurp some oysters with some cold beer.

If you go early enough, you can sit outside at Cooter's and watch the sun set over the levee.
