Ruffinos? 45 day dry aged ribeye.... Le Creole... little village... Galatoires, Jubans... etc etc...
if you want to take it easy on him, we went to pinettas the other night. It was tasty and you can drink some chianti!

Any of the above listed restaurants will "not" take it easy on his wallet for 4 people.

Yeah. Ruffino's is the only one of the original suggestions I'd consider.

Gino's is usually my recommendation.

Are you suggesting you have thrown up after eating at Le creole? I would guess you've never been there or have some bone to pick. The chef is terrific and it is a very original and fun spot in my opinion, definitely not cheap or mainstream however

I second that. It wasn't bad, just not this the same class as other restaurants mentioned, but cost about the same.

So the way you communicate that opinion is through a vomit icon? Seems a bit extreme for just not caring for a place?

Gino's is on time. I went there for lunch two weeks ago for the first time in a long time and forgot how quality of a joint that place is.

Bernadette's in burnside. He will definitely pay for it though. Really nice place and something you might not do as consistently as some of the others mentioned.
