Absolutely fantastic. Best in the city, in my not so humble opinion. Great NY Strip.

Perfect. I've heard good things about it. And, since it's in such close proximity to Avenue Pub, I figured it was a win win for me.

I ate there last year and loved it. I had the strip.
I've heard some of their Italian food is pretty good too.

My favorite Caesar.

Its the best steakhouse in town and honestly one of the better overall restaurants too.

Thinking of treating some people to a nice dinner here one day. What prices are we looking at?

It's pretty pricey. But if you're looking to impress...

Normal steakhouse pricing. Count on $75 per person for a nice meal and a few drinks.

Thats not bad, and they don't drink. Not to say I won't have a few myself though.

Mrs Roach and I went on Saturday night. I had the strip and she had the filet - both were excellent. Fried green tomatoes and fried oysters to start - very good. The Caesar salad is on time as well. Overall, one of the best steaks I have had in NOLA.

Anyone have any experience with Desi rushing people to leave in order to turn more tables over?

I had read some complaints about this and thought it was just people looking for reasons to complain until I experienced it myself on my last visit.

It's better than the dry aged at Delmonico's? Really?

we have been there about 3 times and not once were we ever rushed. I saw a complaint from someone on urbanspoon maybe, that said they were rushed but they also didn't have reservations and really should have been thankful that Mr. John's was able to squeeze them in at all.

It's been quite a while, but I thought that steak was the best in the city.
That is the only steak served at Delmonico though, so I send people to Mr. John's when they want the best steakhouse in the city.
