Anybody else like Steen's on Black Eyed peas?

Thanks for all the backup. I generally make my beans on the hotter side so hot sauce is rarely needed but I do like the tang of the vinegar. Balsamic and red wine have better flavor than white so I pour it on. I'm sure tonight after some 46 we'll find something else to bust each other's nads about.....It's good to have family visit

No, but I would try it. Had fried chicken that the lady prepared by rubbing her chicken with Steen's seasoning it, then dredged it in flour and fried. Stuff was great!

Do you or don't you use vinegar as a condiment on your red beans?
I do not.
However, with most rice and gravy dishes, I love to have this stuff on the side:
You get some vinegar, some sweetness and some crunch. I like all dat.

That I have to try. Where did you get it Darla? I'm going to call my sister and have her ship my a jar or two.
Also wish someone would have written down MawMaw's pickled Mirliton recipe. I've had hundreds and none taste like hers did. THAT was the perfect condiment for anything rice and gravy related.

I throw some of these creole pickled onions in dishes from time to time. They're hot and tasty.

I like the little pickled pearl onions as a condiment.

They're really good in a bloody mary. I eat them out of the jar as a snack.

Throw in some of those onions for some punch. Good luck.

Have personally never used vinegar, but regularly use hot sauce..... (Isn't that a ingredient in hot sauce)

Albertsons. There is another brand, Mrs. Renfro's, that is also very good.

I would assume so but I rarely shop there.

No. Why would I do that?
