I enjoyed Mizada every time I went. I will never venture there for Zea, since there is one right by my house

Damn, really? I always enjoyed it. I've been meaning to get back over there, it has probably been almost two years since I've been. Looks like I probably will take a pass.

I will say that it always struck me as a curious location.

Zero reason to go there for Zea

Been a few times and enjoyed it. Those duck tamales and pork belly apps were legit.

Place was never crowded the handful of times I've been. Can't blame the location or prices (which were reasonable) so

I'll miss their Saturday happy hour specials. And the pork belly app. Always enjoyed their mojitos.

I can't see Zea doing well in that spot.

Maybe they can hire Dominique Macquet as head chef to speed up the inevitable.

Throw in Rene Bajeux and Kevin Vizard, and we can talk.

Last two times I went it was not very crowded. Food was always pretty good.

Parking is their issue but Zeas might have a chance there. Zeas is always good and always consistent.

Zea has gotten worse with every expansion. It used to be good and now it's going down the same path as Copelands iyam.

I always thought Mizado had "dry" food. I don't know why.

Hutson also recognizes fans may lament the loss of some of their favorite dishes, some of which can only be found at Mizado Latin Kitchen. These Latin lovers are in luck: The Taste Buds team is considering periodically adding Mizado favorites to the Zea menu at 5080 Pontchartrain Boulevard – think duck tamales and tuna tiradito, along with some specialty, hand-crafted cocktails.

Dry as in not moist, or do you mean dry as in some non-standard usage? Boring, or something else?

Am I nuts? Was it not a Zea at one point?

I know it was a Semolina for a long time, but I thought at some point it became a Zea.

Mizado Latin Kitchen opened in September of 2013, marking a new brand and culinary concept from the well-known Taste Buds Team, which also operates Zea Rotisserie & Bar and Semolina restaurants. Since its inception, Mizado has offered modern cuisine with traditional Latin American flavors, featuring hand- crafted salsas, a ceviche bar, sharable plates and small batch tequilas

I was aware of this, but I thought they had a Zea in THAT BUILDING previously, in addition to Semolina.

it opened as a semolina, with a big crawfish on the roof
it was then changed to mizado
now it will be a zea's

all those concepts are owned by the taste buds (darling, limburg & reggio). they have been crazy successful and know what they are doing

i probably ate there twice a week when semolina first opened
