LINK

Owner said business slowed at Original location. Riverbend location to stay open. I know I haven't been to original location since new one opened. Owners looking for other locations, possibly CBD.

Place kept weird hours. I guess the relied a lot on Touro business, but I never seemed to be able to catch them open.

Article said owners owned restaurant by charity hospital before Katrina. Any one know which one?

Parking is terrible for lunch at that spot. A new location would be a good thing.

I was wondering about this place the other day. It always seemed like the hot spot around here but havent heard anyone say they were eating there in years.

Is this the little place that was once located in the back of Prytania Bar?

Had a chicken and cheese and avocado sandwich there once that for some reason I still remember as one of the best sandwiches I had ever ate. Not sure if I was just so smashed or what. It was called the Clooney.

Same building but different owners/establishment. They have a 2nd location (newer) in the riverbend on Carrollton in the same parking lot as baskin robbins. The one adjacent to prytania bar is closing up shop

Agree on the weird hours. I never think to grab lunch from here even though the sandwiches are delicious

The Delachaise location is walking distance from my house. Problem is, I'm downtown during the weekdays and they've been closed on the weekends. So if they relocate that location to the CBD, I'm down.

Hope they are successful in whatever they do. Cool owner and great food. I hit up the Riverbend location monthly.

The Occidental Oriental is one of the best sandwiches in the city. I will miss this location - good, quick, nice people - sad to see it go.

It is a quirky spot that doesn't exactly get foot traffic. It was always dead after 5pm. Touro nurses tend to scatter when they get off work, except Thursdays at Rum House

They do allow dogs though. So that is a plus
