headed to Atlanta next week for a meeting and will have a few hours after arriving to go grab lunch and some beer

the googles says we are in the midtown area, but we aren't necessarily limited to staying there

is there any hope of finding Creature Comforts in the area?

I'd try and get over to brick store pub in Decatur if you can.

Last time I was at Taco Mac I had the worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. It started off with them literally being out of the fist six beers I tried to order - and they weren't even specialty beers. It went downhill from there. So far down we were in free fall. When we talked to the manager, after we had to get up and find him, he was unapologetic. We called corporate the next day to let them know. Low-level corporate wasn't any help. We finally said "frick it, we tried," and put a blast on social media. We received an email and then a call within minutes of it being posted by some higher-up guy apologizing. We didn't even want anything. We just wanted to let someone know their store was being run like a clown show. Suffice to say, I have a good bit of Taco Mac gift certificates that I'll never use.

Back on subject, I've had good meals with good beers at Publik House in midtown, and then a little further out at Porter in Little Five Points. Porter's cellar list is insanely awesome if you feel like dropping some coin.

I used to live in the area and was a regular at Taco Mac. Can't recall a bad experience there. Must have been an off night.

Usually can't go wrong with it for the beer. Over 140 beers on tap, if I remember correctly. Even more in bottles.

Yes, great lunch or happy hour spot with outdoor patio. House IPA is $3 and then a number of other good brews to select from.

Tacomac has a huge selection but service/food quality can be hit or miss. I typically avoid it.

World of Beer has a location in Midtown, as does Fado. RiRa is an Irish pub in midtown and probably has a decent selection.

If you're looking to drive up to 10 minutes, Porter in Little 5 Points is probably the best beer bar in town.

You should have luck. Tropicalia is very popular here but kegs run empty quick.

Go to the porter in little five. It is a cheap uber ride and their food is very good

Cypress St is definitely your best bet for "Midtown beer bar".

Depending on your timing, Hop City in West Midtown may or may not have CC available for purchase. Mac's in Midtown would also be worth seeing if they have any available for sale.

Taco Mac Midtown is kind of gross ....
Cypress has good beer and decent food ...
the Hudson Grille isn't awful to watch a game ....

take a short Uber over to Wrecking Pub, The Bookhouse or the Porter
take a marta to Decatur and hit their restaurants/bars
