Middendorfs thin cut catfish gone?

Coming back for game next month, we always go with wife's family to middendorfs while in town. My MIL says they went last week and said they don't have thin cut catfish anymore.
Am I being punked? Can anyone confirm this. I think the place would shut down if this was true and just can't believe it.

Yeah I'm just going to call them later and ask them. I'm not buying it, they could easily be pulling a prank on us though because they know I love it so much

I would think the thin cut catfish sell at a higher profit margin than the thick cut. Doubt they are going to make that kind of business decision.

It does. That's why they charge extra if you substitute regular fillets for the thin cut.

Last time I was there, they had gone to slicing so thin you could not identify the fish inside. It was basically all batter.

You could batter a piece of paper and achieve the same results. Even their regular cut is cut thin.
