I believe it may be owned by the same guy that had Pasta Garden back in the day.

Been there several times, very good. The thing that sticks out in my mind the most was the fresh sauteed spinach!!! That stuff was awesome!!! It is a side dish.

I got the ravioli one time and don't remember what else I got, but do remember it was great.

Pretty sure it is, Gino _________. Also owns Giovanni's from what I have heard.

Happened to be in the area when it was newly opened and wasn't overly impressed. I also got sick nearly immediately afterwards and I have a pretty cast iron stomach. Maybe it's better now but seemed like a pretty poor option for Italian with all the other choices in BR.

I went once and had the lasagna. I don't remember which one but it was huge and pretty good. The service was excellent.

I went once when it first opened. I thought the ambiance was incredible, as was the service and the overall layout of the place. I, nor the person I was with, cared for the food. Maybe just an off night, so I'm not gonna bash, but I'd choose ruffinos or monjunis anytime.

This was my impression as well although it was just opened. They seemed like Prairievillians working to hard to be Italians and as you know Prairieville has no where near the Sicilian population of Monroe.

Also when they pulled out the battery operated cheese grater and hit my pasta I had to chuckle.

Give it a shot with the gift certificate and let us know. I could maybe be convinced to try once more.

If that is his name then yes, but heard it second hand. It is called "Gio's Mezza Luna" the "Gio's" is written really small on the sign.

If you like grappa, I think he makes his own homemade stuff.

Is that the Giovanni's that used to be on Highland where Monjunis is? The place they were running the hookers out of? I know he had a small partner that was doing it not him. Used to have great food.
