Headed to Baton Rouge for a party on monday and I am supposed to bring a turkey. I am trying to find the best place to get a turkey, turducken, stuffed fowl, etc. It can be cooked or not and I'd like to go ahead and call it in today cause I know they are gonna be rockin for the holidays. It may evemn be too late already but I hope not. TIA F&D.

A few options would be the AG store. Not too far off the interstate and can probably accommodate.
Ralph's in Burnside
Alexander's in Baton Rouge, off Highland
Maybe Harvest in Dutchtown
There is a Chris' Specialty Meat in Prairieville
Calandros off Seigen
There is a Honey Baked Ham store off Seigen as well.
Franks Smokehouse in Pville as well.
Bellues near Bocage I think will be a good choice, but may be to far past where you are going.
Where are you headed, will help with which to use.

Thx, I'm headed to a townhouse off of college across from albertsons like behind the station area. I'd really like to get something that is more/different than just a plain turkey and I'd prefer to have it cooked before I pick it up. I can cook it if need be but I'd rather not. Hope that helps to narrow it down.

I know Bellues is right in that area, but there may be other options as well.
ETA: Damn, looking at their website it appears the Jefferson Highway location is closed now.
