“Gilroy Garlic Fries,” priced at around $2.50, are served in an open paper tray and feature garlic grown in Gilroy, California — which is best known as “The Garlic Capital of the World.”

In a news release, McDonald’s said:

“The new fries are made-to-order in McDonald’s kitchens where restaurant employees toss French fries in stainless steel bowls with a purée mix that includes ingredients, such as chopped Gilroy garlic and olive oil, parmesan cheese, parsley and a pinch of salt. The garlic fries are part of a trend at McDonald’s to experiment with regional flavors and food on its menu.”

Ugh. I can say that the New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood Garlic Fries are one of the worst sides in Louisiana. Just nauseating. This can't be much better.

He's already been there, done that. Joey eats like 10 fries at a time.

Meh. They are too late to the party on this. Every single place that sells burgers already sells garlic fries.

IWEI.

McD's is having a renaissance of sorts. The all-day breakfast has been a boon for sales. They are market testing the venerable big mac in different size options.
