Looking for places near 190. Been a while since I've been in the area often. Any tips?

I don't know how close Bear's is, but I highly suggest a roast beef poboy from there. Best I've ever had.

Took 2 new guys to Bear's last week on the way to Bike week. Best RB poboy they ever had. They even wanted to eat there on the way back to Houston but Bear's was not open when we went thru Covington.

This is a very good option! Better than Bear's mentioned above IMO.

Do not eat here. One of the worst places I have ever eaten on the northshore, but that's my personal experience.
ETA:
K-Gee's, Bear's, Bistro Byronz, Health food place mentioned earlier, Kozoku for sushi.
