What are some mandatory spices, seasonings, sauces you keep at your house?



A friend of mine produces this and it is great

Blue plate mayo
Sirachi (sp?)
Teriyaki and soy
Ground cinnamon
Ground mustard
Garlic in every form
Ground cloves

Garlic (real and powder)
Onion (real)
Smoked Paprika
Chili Powder
Cayenne Pepper
Powdered Mustard (Colemans)
Parsly
Rosemary
Soy Sauce
Hot Sauce (Crystal)
Cinnamon
Sugar


I try and at least keep all of these on hand at all times. Have an entire spice cabinet, but give me these and im good to cook.

Kudos on the smoked paprika. Best smoky flavor outside of actual smoke.

I also keep dried onion flakes, for when you just need a little onion flavor.

I use rosemary a lot for chicken and roasted potatoes so its a staple for me.

I eat cinnamon toast almost every morning for breakfast as well, so gotta have that in there!

Not spices per se but red wine and dry marsala wine are always good to have around, as is some type of dark beer. I also like Montreal seasoning although I didn't notice if anyone had listed it.

I buy the mini bottles of wine that are in the big cardboard display case at Rouses. They real handy when you need some wine to cook with.
