Always stop in Lafayette over Lake Chuck for good food and don't turn back.

Blue Dog, Luna's or Pugo St Cafe all on Ryan St in LC and within 5 min of exit off I10.

I would add Brick and Spoon to this. While the ambiance is not quite as nice as the others, the food is excellent.
