I need about 6-10 lbs of turkey figs for a beer i'm concocting. My sad little fig tree produced 2 figs this year. I've woefully neglected him. Anyone know where i can get some?

No suggestions on where to find figs, but my brown turkey fig tree also produced about 4 figs this year. It has set a second crop, so maybe I'll get a decent harvest of fall figs.

My tree is so pitiful. Planted it 2 years ago and it's about 2-3' tall. This year, the main branch pretty much died, no leaves or anything, but the secondary branch coming off of that one flourished with leaves, for awhile.

I think my lack of mulching and letting the grass grow up to the stalk has caused it's decline.

Grass will definitely cause a problem for a young tree. Figs have a bunch of surface feeder roots, and the grass will out-compete the tree. Some fruit tree fertilizer scattered around the tree should also help. But my horticultural connections tell me not to expect much for the first 2-4 years.

Took about 4 years for mine. Now produces 6-7# per day. But only mid June to mid July.
Done for the season

It's been a very sad year for figs. I have Celeste, Brown turkey, Alma, Smith, LSU purple and LSU gold. Of all those trees I got a total of 5 lbs.

Not sure but donyou really think the variety of fig will come through prominent enough in a beer?

If you use enough. I want a hint of fig. Enough to where you know it's there, but it doesn't overpower or takeaway from the rest of the brew. Will be challenging with the malt bill i'm thinking. Interesting brew to say the least.

I'm sure black mission figs would come through stronger, i just don't care for them. I like Turkey and Celeste.
