Italian Barrel is always my go-to Nola Italian restaurant suggestion. It never fails to impress.

Boscos is pretty legit. The guy used to be at Sal and Judys IIRC. Hell of a lot closer I'm sure

Red Gravy is very good.

Sal and Judy's as others have said is excellent.

I think Assunta's in Slidell is also very good.

I've had two great experiences. I've heard two horror stories from friends and one positive experience from a friend. I've enjoyed it both times.

Mariza's is fantastic, and they make their own pasta. In the bywater. Moderately priced, too.

Red Gravy makes their pasta in house and their meatballs are money.

Impastato's in metairie has house made pasta. Not sure about the pasta but never had a bad meal at Fausto's on Vets. Bosco's in really good. Vincent's in Metairie has never been a bad meal.
