I tried it at the Cove. It was in a bottle. Belgian Style Ale. Tasted of cherries. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

the beer was over $6
It came from the Belgian case, so I'm not sure if that means it's Belgian in style or origin.

No

color?

Somewhere between a Newcastle Brown Ale and a Guinness. Dark brown, but not quite black.

No. It tasted sweeter and drank smoother than Killian's. I've had theirs.

There's several possibilities. Kerkom Kriek, Kasteel Rouge, Ommegang Three Philosophers, which is a quad with cherries. Delirium Red would be my best guess though. It's a white ceramic bottle, and it is Delirium's kriek. On the sweeter side.

If not any of those it may well have been a flemish sour, Cuvee des Jacobins (sour), Cuvee Freddy (super sour), Bourgogne des Flandres, Strubbes Grand Cru... but all of these would be a stretch on the direct sour note.

Thanks for coming out though! If it was recently like this past weekend I personally sold some Delirium Red's to a small group. Could very well have been you.
