Going to be in BR next week for a wedding. Looks like I have Thursday and Sunday off and would like to try some local craft beers. Any recommendations as to places to try?

Just drive down I12 to the northshore, you will have more better options. Irregardless what the BR people say.

If it has to be a brewpub, then yes. Old Rail for sure.

If he's just looking to try local beers, then he can find plenty at either Chimes location, CBD, The Bulldog, et al.

Southern Craft (I don't know how that name wasn't taken until now) supposedly has a few beers out in bars now, haven't tried them yet though.

Check out corporate draft and brew. They have an extensive selection.

Go to corporate brew. They will have everything you want. Not a big food selection but you can bring in whatever food you want. Either of the chimes will have a good beer selection as well.

Oh well. I've been busy. I'm doing short rib tacos and opening an Envie that was bottled on Feb. 29. Is it still good?

Yes, maybe not crazy fresh though.

If you aren't big in to hopped up beers then Envie at two months is great. Gives a hint of the sweet malts coming through.
