Per their Facebook just now. I guess my fear of the Leblanc's sellout would mess it up was for nothing!

The exciting news of our second location in Gonzales in the Lagniappe Shopping Center next to our sister company @izzosillegalburrito has us LIT up with smiles! #ascensionparish #eatLocal #spring2017 #litpizza

I haven't tried it yet, but it's a pick-your-own toppings pizza place owned by the same people as Izzo's.

Papa Murphy's? Or do they bake your pizza in-store?

No, wood fired brick oven in store. 11 inch pizzas, pick your own toppings, most expensive pizza is $8. I'm a fan.

Minus the upcharge for every topping you add. Flat $8 no matter how many toppings you get.

This place just a Blaze Rip-Off? Like Izzo's was a Chipotle Rip-Off?

I have no idea what Blaze is. Doesn't impact my impression of Lit at all, even if it is a similar concept.

Total, shameless Blaze rip-off.

Seriously, anyone who has been to Lit but not Blaze should go on Youtube and watch Daym's video, where he walks you through the whole process of ordering a pizza at Blaze.

LINK

You'll be shocked at the degree of copying, not just in overall concept, but details like the paper they write your order down on, how they put it under the pizza on the little wood trays, the two-piece box they use, etc. Lebron ain't gonna like this!

Kind of hard to say who ripped who off. I know YourPie is the same model and pre-dated Blaze by 5 years or so. There is likely some others out there earlier than that. There's at least a dozen larger and regional chains doing the same thing. We just don't have anyone but Lit in the BR area. Lit does a pretty damn good pizza for $8. I'm excited to have a good option close to the house.
