Do you drink it?

I know some people who have quit due to health concerns - prostate cancer, ovarian cancer.

Couple of points:
•No species drinks milk beyond infancy or drinks the milk of another species.
•The benefits of drinking milk are greatly exaggerated and are mythical in nature.

Yep,
Almond Milk with my cereal in the morning.

I like the unsweetened regular non-flavored Blue Diamond Brand.

A few tblsps in my AM coffee. I use it to cook, but I never could drink the stuff straight, even as a kid.

Same here. Screw that flavored shite. I bought Silk once and it was too sweet. Califia Farms wasn't bad.

My grandparents drank whole, unpasteurized, fresh squeezed milk for most of their 93 years. The generalizations in your post are old, worn out, mythical and exaggerated.

I used to enjoy milk straight out the cow. We had a Jersey cow and the milkfat content was around 5%. If it sat in the fridge, you'd have to stir it up before drinking it or putting it on cereal because the fat on the top. After that, I never could get used to lowfat milk, it's like drinking water.

This. I don't dislike milk. I use it in cereal and to cook. But I can't pour a glass and drink it.

Is there a big difference drinking milk compared to eating cheese, butter, or yogurt. What about baking with milk?

I drink Skim, less than a gallon in a two week period.

I've developed a liking for Almond milk.

for me its not a health decision as much as I like milk and its a part of my nutrition plan.

No other species is as evolved either.

I don't drink a lot of milk but to think that we shouldn't drink it because other species don't is a bit of a stretch.

If we follow that thought process, we should still be swing clubs and eating uncooked food...as no other species cooks their food.

I drink 2% Horizon, lactose free. I don't have it very often, but i try when i can.

The health benefits are not "a scam" or whatever the other poster said. Milk is great for your bones, contains protein so is great for muscles, vitamins a & B help with good eyesight, reduces liver production of cholesterol, and in some cases can lower the risk of cancer.

This. Some species, like dogs, can't eat most vegetables because their bodies can't process it. Plenty of other species can't intake what humans can. This seems like the argument you are making is more to convince yourself it's ok to not drink milk, rather than face the fact that milk is good for you.

It's like the people who look to find a study that exercise does nothing to keeping yourself healthy. They think diet alone will be the cure all. It's just an excuse not to do, something you are already not doing.
