Supposedly getting a char on your food is carcinogenic but you won't see me turning down the burnt ends off of a brisket.

I must be the one with no culture but that just looks rediculously disgusting lol. Dont get me wrong, i eat frogs, organ meat, and just about anything else that might make someone turn their nose up. I even eat calamari. But there is just something about a whole octopus that im not sure i could handle. /duck

Not much different than the whole octopus imo

...or perhaps the overall meal that the OP made last night was a real panty dropper and the OP was getting busy.

For this sample pic, I plated a baby octopus in a small soy sauce dish atop an Asian slaw, a touch of ponzu, sesame seeds and lime zest.

The octopus really shrunk in size during the cooking process.

Will be making again. I could see this going well with a seaweed salad.

Nice clark.

They are great in salads. We did one in a pasta salad recently also.

Umm, have you ever eaten at Taco Bell? The beef comes in a big plastic bag that is heated in water. Looks like you'll be giving up Taco Bell.

Thanks, Jones. She hasn't posted here since May. She must be really really busy not to post at all for so long. Worried that something bad had happened. Glad she's okay.

Looks good. I need to check my Asian market and see if they have any.

Daniel Gritzer did a piece on Serious Eats recently about octopus in the pressure cooker. Some of the commenters talked about sous vide.

Check your whole foods. They usually have them. Probably better quality and the price is the bad imo
