T-Coons is good for breakfast and a plate lunch.

Jolies Bistro, Cafe Vermillionville and Ruffinos are "local" per se - with good food - but not "hole in the wall"

Olde Tyme Grocery has a solid shrimp poboy... bring cash.

Johnsons Boucaniere and Crawfish Time might be worth a look

Bon Temps is a good lil grill. As is Fat Pats

A Short Drive to Abbeville This is a neat little hole in the wall crawfish joint a few miles to the south out in the middle of a cane field.

T-Coons for lunch today, Bon Temps for dinner, Dwight's for Sunday BBQ lunch.

ETA: Be wary of the parade route on Johnston St.

They do have a really good burger. I haven't been in a while. Do you still leave smelling smokey?

Especially if you love thin, well done patties with raw onions.
