Going to be in Lafayette and Broussard for soccer this weekend and I'm looking for rec's for dinner. Going with another couple, originally from Arizona, and every time we go out they comment that the food is bland.
Any place that's categorically not bland?

Broussard
Skip dinner. Just go get hammered at Parish.

Anything to narrow it down? Fancy? Casual? What have y'all already tried?

Is there a good lunch spot on the way back from Parish headed towards BR? I'm coming into LA in a couple weeks and going to Parish to see what all the fuss is about.

In Broussard area
Cajun - Hook n Boil
Fezzo's
Pizza - JJ's
Burgers - Morvant's or Twins
Steaks - probably still Fezzo's
Ton's has good plate lunches
There's plenty of other stuff that's decent, I listed the best. A lot of new stuff in that area

We're playing the Dynamo's and the Sulfer Cyclones, the Acadiana United are also in the tournament...Battle of the Boot.
The Broussard fields aren't bad, they have a big plot.

We've taken them to both, obviously not in the area, but they usually just pick through their food. We've been to their house, but it's always been cookouts...so we've never seen the spice profile they are accustomed to. IDK.

Thanks. We're staying at the Comfort Suites off of Pinhook, but we'll have to do lunch in Broussard since our game times are 10:00 and 4:30 (frick).
Morvant's have the LSU game on?

Probably, haven't actually been there in a few years, but they were usually jumping for Saints and LSU games.
Hook n Boil for sure, big screen behind the bar and I think a few more in the restaurant
ETA: JJ's has multiple screens too

Broussard has way more soccer fields, but damn that Youngsville place is a helluva multi sport complex.
What clubs play there? Acadiana United?
ETA: Driving 180 miles (and we're probably the closest on our team) for 11yr olds to play soccer in the middle of fricking corn fields all weekend is absurd, so I'm not trying to talk soccer like I know...just asking since I don't know shite about the area.

Dynamo's are gonna beat that arse
For really though, Bread & Circus is probably my favorite casual spot right now. It's pretty small, so it probably wouldn't work if you're going to be a large party.

Maybe Poor Boy's Riverside Inn in Broussard. Ask for Tabasco on the table if they need some heat.
