I've never been here and was thinking about trying this place out for an anniversary dinner. Can you give me your honest opinion about this place and if it is an "anniversary type" place. We would usually go to French Market Bistro but wanted to try something new. Especially because last time we went there neither my wife or I felt well after the dinner.

thanks

It's actually Le Creolé. I've never been but I'm put off by the gratuitous accent aigu in the name. It's what you'd expect to find in a phony French restaurant in Minnesota, not in south Louisiana.

I was in it several weeks ago and the food was average and the service was sorely lacking. Twice now that has happened to me in the last year so I won't be going back.

I like French Market but I do believe they are still working on the addition and that seems like it's been going on a long time.

For a quiet anniversary dinner I might suggest Nino's which has a perfect atmosphere, menu and wine list in addition to wonderful service.

I haven't been to Le Creole, but if you decide against it, I also highly recommend Nino's for the occasion.

I haven't been since chef Ryan Andre left. I wonder how it is now.

Went for lunch a few months ago and was pleased.

I had the fried oyster salad and it was good

Customer I was with had the chicken & waffles

Other guy had the filet tenderloin tips, didn't look how I expected and he wasn't pleased.

I have been to Le Creole maybe a half a dozen times and have always enjoyed it. I love the bacon wrapped beef tenderloin.

I really like Nino's as well.

Food has been pretty good and it is a great place for a quiet dinner..

Tip : When you make reservations ask for Tyrone for your waiter..

We've never been. I think you would be better off going to Ruffino's for an anniversary dinner. It's right across the street, the food is quite good, service is excellent and I imagine the prices are probably about the same.

Having never been there you can't say. And Ruffino's is average at best.

I don't get this. It seems everyone has them on the menu now much like the beef short ribs of two seasons ago.
