Going to La Boca Thursday for the first time. Any suggestions on what to get? Based on what I've read I definitely need to get the provoleta. I was also thinking about getting the skirt steak with the skin on as my entree.

Partial to the bone-in filet...but hangar is exceptional as well.

The Provoleta and Ñoqui are two of the best appetizers I've had. Both outstanding.

The Hanger and the Filet are both very good. Not quite "the best steak I've had," like several of my friends thought - but very good none the less.

For desert, the Coconut & Amaretto Ice Cream Cake is a treat.

Have not been to the new location on Tchoupitoulas yet.

I went for my most recent birthday and we all got the tasting menu. It was an insane amount of food, except everyone has to get it. You will NOT regret it.

The tasting menu is a good option if you are going with a group of four or more. I reviewed this a few years ago. I got the hanger steak and it was great.

I'll just go ahead and say it now so anyone else knows. If you have at least 4 people, do the tasting menu deal they have. I'm assuming they do it year round and it's not just a seasonal thing. I don't remember the price, but it's a really good deal. You get about 5 courses, but it's more like 10. They bring out 3 or 4 appetizers for the table to share one after the other, not at the same time. Then everyone gets to pick their own steak, and you all pick 2 or 3 sides to split among the table. Then a big plate of 2 or 3 different deserts.

One of the skirts or hanger, rare or blue rare. The chimichurri is awesome. The provoleta is great with the steak as well.
