There are about a million kolache shops in Houston. BR needs to step up their game.

Much less the state of Louisiana. It's a great breakfast option.

They did. Before will took his arse to Houston, and learned how to produce them here, we had zero.
I'm happy with the one we have, seeing as a year ago, we had zero.

Dude is gonna print money.

I think the area can handle about two, maybe three more locations: One in the eastern part of the parish, like Shenandoah/O'Neal Lane/Coursey Blvd., One maybe in the Country Club area? Maybe one in Ascension Parish.

And I'm all about the Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Ranchero.

The donut shop next to Jazz Daddy's on Old Jefferson has had them for years.

Those are crap if you are craving the kind served by Kolache Kitchen or places like Morning Kolaches/Kolache Factory in Houston.

That donut shop serves what are basically hot dogs wrapped in crescent roll dough.

I don't know. I'm no connoisseur of kolaches. Just not a fan.

There are much better options over here. KK knocked off old towne of Houston. I tend to think they are too sweet and doughy. Plus they are over priced.

Kolache is a czech/polish thing. Central Texas where kolaches got their start in Texas....maybe the US... was settled by czechs and poles. West, Tx...where the explosion happened, is the kolache capital and its traditional for a lot of Texans to stop in West for kolaches on their way to Austin/ San Antonio or up to Dallas.

Of course they are, they're basically the only place in town that sells kolaches. When you have a regional monopoly, you can do these things. Personally, I think the ones at Port Allen bakery are cheaper and better, but the convenience of KK helps their case tremendously.

So Is the "sausage" in a Kolache really sausage? Or just a Hot Dog weiner shoved in a bun?
